Dr. John V. Kelly’s office provides ultrasound and x-ray imaging services to all of it’s patients. A sonograph (ultrasound scanning) involves the use of a probe (small transducer) and ultrasound gel to expose the body to high-frequency sound waves. Ultrasound scanning is one of the safest ways of viewing the inside of a body using sound wave technology. They are capable of showing the movement of the body’s organs and blood floor through the blood vessels.
Ultrasound Imaging is used by physicians to determine the cause of pain, swelling, infection, or hematuria which is blood in the urine. Ultrasounds can be used to examine the heart, blood vessels, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, kidney, bladder, uterus, ovaries, fetus of unborn child, eyse, thyroid glands, scrotum and the brain and hips of infant in a pregnant mother.
X-Ray Imaging is used to determine the aging of bones and diagnose bone disorders such as the common osteoporosis. Both Ultrasound and X-Ray imaging are available at Dr. Kelly’s facility in North Jersey.
